Big Slick Killed Me

First I ran them into Geek’s aces, then this:

Hand  3:    31.9225 %      31.81%     00.11%      { QsJc }

I got knocked out when the short stack hit his queen on the flop and the bigger stack hit his nine on the river.

Hank calls me the master of great calls, but I’d like to be lucky once in a while.

  1. How about this hand?

    Holdem Hi: 903 enumerated boards containing Ah Qh Th
    cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
    Qc Kh 367 40.64 527 58.36 9 1.00 0.410
    As Qd 375 41.53 519 57.48 9 1.00 0.419
    8c Jh 152 16.83 742 82.17 9 1.00 0.172

    I’m actually surprised J8o has that much equity in the hand, given the number of redraws that kill the gutshot draw.

    Anyway. There’s a great call that put you in a position to make great calls and get sucked out on later in the tournament.
